Peter Capaldi returns as the 12th Doctor for his final season. He is joined by a new companion, Bill who is played by Pearl Mackie. Matt Lucas joins in the adventure too. As a Whovian I am excited to see the upcoming season. We will see some classic villains returning too. It will be interesting to see how everything plays out and who will succeed Capaldi.

I have some misgivings. It feels like the studio is trying too hard to pander to current trends/tastes, and that never bodes well for a show. Plus, Moffat has gone off, no more Weeping Angels or unforseen deaths of major characters. Only time will tell…
