When you know what you are doing and someone doesn’t respect the fact you know what you are doing it’s kind of condescending and insulting. It just makes me want to burn up and roll my eyes.

I’ve gotten that so many times in my career. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t know what I was doing. I’ve gotten very good at gritting my teeth.

I agree, however … there have been times in my life where I truly believed I knew what I was doing, but didn’t, and would have been well-advised to have listened to another. So, I try to listen to all, because sometimes, even though I might know what I am doing, somebody else might actually have a better idea. 🙂

I find that very frustrating, especially when it’s something easy, but I still try to keep my mouth shut most of the time.

(tell me about it!!!!). Lately I don’t even bother correcting ‘know it alls’ or justifying my work in hand to them. I just carry on with what I’m doing as though no one is hovering over my shoulder.
