This morning the words of John Lennon are singing in my head, “All we are saying is give peace a chance”. This goes along with the scripture verse “blessed are the peacemakers”. On this Sunday I urge all of you to figure out how we can bring peace first in the hearts and minds of all and then to be active in loving all of our neighbors as ourselves.

  1. We can only change and have power over ourselves. Not other people. However the govt can if it wishes that hate groups will not be tolerated. Any persons engaging in violence should be arrested and jailed. The American Nazis and the KKK must see that there will be consequences for their actions.

  2. I will add one more thought. These hate groups all claim to be Christians therefore somewhere some place their actions are sanctioned by the Church. Makes one think. Especially since these incidents happen in the so-called Bible Belt. Makes you wonder what Bible they are reading?

  3. Those of us who have the wherewithal must do whatever is in our power to bring about change. I am not sure how, but for me, it is to keep writing, keep talking, keep trying to convince. For some, it is marching in events such as the Women’s March, the March For Science and others. And one thing we can ALL do, is keep writing and calling our representatives in Congress to let them know that we are fed up, to let them know that they will not have a job after November 2018 if some things don’t change soon.
