Cyber Monday

Cyber Monday is a marketing term for the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. The term “Cyber Monday” was created by marketing companies to persuade people to shop online. (From Wikipedia)

One day if it hasn’t already Cyber Monday will eclipse Black Friday in terms of importance and revenue for retailers. Places like Amazon and Ebay have become important players in gift purchases. What have you done on Cyber Monday?

  1. Another made up day for buying goods. Like Valentines Day it really does not exist accept in corporate America. I think there should be a cat and dog day. Maybe a day of hang nails. What about stump day when we are truly stumped. What about dense wood day, wait we do have Arbor Day. Notice I have no question marks because no one can say these days are not real.

  2. Heard on NPR that china has a similar online shopping day. That day they did 25 Billion in sales in 2 minutes. Hard to believe I know, I played the clip three times to make sure I was hearing it right. That kind of economic engine should scare us silly if it was directed against our country in its current state. Hugs
