A Word About My Easter Posts

Thanks for bearing with me and my Easter posts. I approach the holiday from a religious perspective. It’s never my intent to offend anyone or to put my faith above anyone else’s or to many anyone uncomfortable. I believe there is place for respectful dialogue and expression. Thanks once again for your friendship and care. Love to you all.

Did someone find your posts offensive? Hmmm… I went to Catholic school, raised Catholic, and always celebrated Easter but now my life has changed. Not as “devout” as maybe some think I should be. Easter comes and go’s and I wouldn’t have noticed except that everyone else keeps wishing me a great one. Here’s the thing: why would anyone have a problem with your posts? I embrace your faith, maybe am even a bit jealous of it, but would never be offended by any of your posts, or of Passover or of any Muslim holiday or Buddhist, etc. So strange, right? People who follow such beautiful and wonderful religions would have such disdain for other religions. Makes no sense. Jesus would never be cruel or mean to a Muslim. Jesus would love anyways. I assume all religioust leader would act the same if they were true to their teachings. My faith has been shattered — I’m “working on it” because things have happened that have made me question… but I envy the faithful. I love the idea of belief. And I would never take offense to any posting of such importance and of love….

No one found them offensive, this is just to reassert that I am not one of those religious persons you see out there who bashes people over the head if they don’t believe as I do. My blog has a diverse readership and I want to do everything I can to let folks know I respect who they are and what they believe. I believe in bridge building with people not of my faith.
