Teachers in Kentucky and Oklahoma are walking off the job for better pay and funding. I believe communities rise and fall based upon public education. Austerity measures do much to undermine the mission of educators who just want to make the world a better place. I’m a product of public schools and I know I wouldn’t be the person I am without them. Teachers and students deserve better.

Totally agree. Our county teachers aren’t getting real pay raises but the administration is getting 10-12%. It sucks because teachers are the most valuable resources.
