Really? At the blood bank in Albuquerque, New Mexico I was told that because my type is so rare, it just takes up space in the cooler until it has to be thrown out, because it is never needed. And for that reason they would not take my blood. Maybe it’s different where you are located? Or maybe things have changed, in the 15 years since I last tried to donate blood.

AB Negative is a very rare type. Its always needed.
