I hate Windows for this reason. Updates take forever and just puts a monkey wrench in your day. If I knitted I could make a sweater for a small dog in the time this runs.

Aha, that’s probably explains why Ravelry.com has 8 million knitters and crocheters — we’re all waiting on our darn Windows updates to finish! 😉

I left Windows behind more than 4 years ago. My current operating system (no, not a Mac) costs nothing, is not vulnerable to most viruses, and is getting me through college without any need for proprietary software, no bloatware, no malware. I love my Linux!

Gaming is finally coming a long way in the Linux world but it’s still not quite there yet. When it does I’ll be happy to make the full switch.

You can set your computer to do the updates when you choose mines set for like 3am so I can use it when I want and don’t really have this issue.

Mine was my work computer so it just happened to be done because a key function wasn’t working. I won’t make that mistake again.
