I know not everyone had a good relationship with their father and or mother. Believe me I have seen how some of my friends have suffered because of it. Estrangement is no fun. My life has been blessed with a great dad who has been my rock for so many years. I hope those who have had family issues have found someone to be a surrogate or have adopted someone as their dad and or mom. Father and mother relations can be a very tough thing for those who have been hurt. Grace and peace to you all.

I am the next to the youngest in a family of 15 children so my father was more like a grandfather to me. Still wise beyond words and we had a great relationship growing up but so many years separated us. But I had a brother who was about 20 years older than me. I pretty much adopted him as a surrogate father.

That is a big family. I can’t imagine having a sibling that much older than me.
