I believe in big tables. The ones where there is always room for one more. That means that everyone is welcome to take part. Everyone from everywhere should have a place at the table to eat and commune with others. Too often people find themselves on the outside looking in or in this case having to eat at a TV tray or at the kitchen counter. Much happens at the table that no one should miss out on. People should also the table is not in theirs but someone else who deserves the head spot and then will there be unlimited room for all those from all walks of life.
I’ve been offline all week due to a storm related power outage, but you’ve been in my thoughts Tony. Losing a parent is hard.

As random of a subject as this is, I totally and completely agree with you. It’s nice to have everyone included, to have so many plates and dishes around the table that there’s room for all of the elbows to bonk and all of the drinks to cheers!

Some of my best stuff is random. In this case it’s inspired from a sermon I heard from my priest at church on Sunday.

I wondered if you were referring to the Gospel text last Sunday from Luke where Jesus was teaching about the importance of everyone having a seat at the table — not necessarily the best seat, but a seat never the less!
