They have been in the US since 2012, but are reappearing in places they haven’t been seen as often. PNW had them last fall and it has been believed they have been seen again. Most Extension offices have places to call if you see them (they are super distinctive) and then the bugs can be tracked to their nest and destroyed.
Someone is definitely out to get us. 😦
