A Personal Status Update

I am not very good at a lot of things these days. I am doing what I can which doesn’t seem like much. To be honest I am still grieving my dad and that has taken a lot of wind out of my sails. One day I hope to be better than I am now and I don’t know when that will happen. My friends, I still care but these days I need to care more about myself because it’s what I need to do. Your concern and care for me are appreciated.

  2. The loss of a parent is something that can take a lot of time to recover from. You are right to take care of yourself. Also we are living in strange times with the pandemic. That too hinders any sense of well being we might have. Take care.💕

  3. Self-care is so important. I don’t know you, but you’re blog posts are kind and inspiring. I’m so sorry for the loss of your father. Take some time and I’m sure your friends and followers will send you only peace and patience. Things will get better, especially if you take a little time for you.

      1. That’s great to hear. Being a people pleaser is a great gift, but can wear you out. I’m writing a project right now on self care, it’s huge about 30k words so I’m busy bee that needs a break too. TGIF! I am following your blog, I’ll be honest, I’ve only now begun to figure out how to manage who I follow and so on. So, I get your posts in my email, so I’m sure I connected.. have a supper weekend, my friend!

  4. I can understand what you’re going through. Friday marked one month since my mom passed away and I’ve been trying to figure out the whole self-care thing in addition to learning how to live life without her in it. I didn’t have much time to focus on myself when I was caring for her, so trying to care for myself is a new experience. You’ve got a whole community of people and bloggers looking out for you. Don’t be afraid to write about your feelings and experiences if you think that will help. We’ve got your back. Sending you so much positive energy.
