No One Is Really OK

We all have been through trauma in the past year. And I would bet no one is really OK. I’m not and haven’t been since my dad died in 2019. Covid has done a number on the hearts and souls of the entire world. It changed us radically, it changed our lives, everything was altered in many cases forever.

We are struggling with a new reality and perhaps some PTSD like those who have been to war. So many people have suffered and lost loved ones. It’s what’s happening everywhere.

Will we be OK? Maybe one day. We have a long way to go before anyone will be what we called normal.

Until then, hold on to one another. Love your neighbor as yourself. Be kind. This is the way. So say we all.

  1. “Ok” is a very very vague word. Are you operating at 100%? No, and you weren’t before Dad died. But you are closer to being there than you were 18 months ago. Life is a journey, not a destination. You’re still in a valley, but you can see the next hill now. Take comfort in that 🏞️
