Not Feeling Holy Week This Year

I must say I am a member of a terrific church (St. Peter’s Episcopal Church) and I have a terrific priest and deacon. However this Holy Week I am just not feeling the spirit. Perhaps the whole tone of it is surrounding darkness and there already enough darkness in the world. Sure, I know the Easter story has a good ending, but it still doesn’t do enough to shake the feeling I am having. I know I am team Jesus but sometimes that means being comforted without having to put on the front of positivity that just isn’t there.

  1. Thats just how it is sometimes. There is alot of hate and negativity in the world at the moment, more than usual. But remember we have a God and saviour who is above everything going on. It’s in his plan. Perhaps this is just how it’s supposed to feel. I’m sure that the people who were there witnessing Jesus be crucified felt alot of sadness this week too. Just remember the joy thats coming on Sunday 🤗
