The Yearly Taxing Situation

Today, April 18, 2023, is when individual income taxes are due in the United States. I am glad to pay my taxes. To me, it’s the cost of living in a community or country that provides you with services such as education, sanitation, fire service, police protection, national defense, maintained roads, and other things that make life better. However when you get hit with a tax bill more than you thought it would be it’s a true shock to the system.

Sure it’s a matter of having enough money and enough withheld from your paycheck but still it’s not an easy pill to swallow. I guess it means making adjustments and rolling with the punches. Death and taxes are indeed life’s certainties.

Also don’t forget to pay the cheese tax to your dog. If you don’t know what I am talking about go on YouTube or Instagram and search for it.
