After the recent news that Elon Musk would move Twitter to a paid platform, I decided to delete my Twitter account today. To tell you the truth I should have done it sooner. It was bittersweet because I have been on X/Twitter for a long time. My thinking is that it will die sooner rather than later. I also don’t want something like that hanging around because I don’t know what will happen to the things I have done there. So I am pronouncing @tonyburgess1969 on Twitter digitally dead. Rest In Peace, Twitter.

It is a bittersweet. I’ve not yet deactivated but as soon as the paid subscription begins, I will have no choice. I will miss the news that I pick-up there, and friends I’ve made, but I won’t pay to subscribe to anything where I’m seeing advertisements.
