I am tired of Christianity being used by the right to harm others and use the teachings of Jesus as a weapon which he would disapprove of. The Christianity I believe in is about love, service, kindness, and making people whole again. I am so sorry it’s used to harm. As a believer, I apologize for the damage it’s done to anyone. I will do my part to make it humble and just again.

Recently I heard an Episcopal minister tell a story about a time he gave a speech about love and kindness. I think it may have been at some kind of ministers convention. Afterward, a person who heard the speech asked him where he got “all those liberal talking points.” The minister said he was just quoting Jesus. “We don’t do that anymore,” the person said.
