Festivus is a secular holiday celebrated on December 23 as an alternative to the perceived pressures and commercialism of the Christmas season. Rituals such as the airing of grievances and fetes of strength are part of this great holiday inspired by the TV show “Seinfeld”. May your Festivus pole be glorious and grand.
The holiday actually existed well before Seinfeld; it just became more widely known because of Frank Costanza.
