Today is the beginning of Pride Month, which celebrates and honors the contributions of those in the LGBTQ community. I am proud to call the people in my life who are LGBTQ my friends. This is a tough time for LGBTQ folks in America and around the world because of the hate and violence against them. Unfortunately, diversity is a bad word these days. All I want to do is be a good ally and to lift them up for being people who want to pursue happiness and love. Love one another, no matter what.

Me, too, Tony. Me, too. Allies are important to our LGBTQ friends, and to paraphrase, if one of us is treated as less than human, we are all at risk of it.
