Season Finale

My blog does not have a season finale. It is 24-7-365. I think I have good ratings. Just saying.

Farewell #Castle, Thank You For Eight Great Seasons.

The TV show “Castle” says farewell this evening after 8 seasons. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic brought the fictional story of a ruggedly handsome writer and a New York City Police detective to life on millions of TV sets around the world. Castle will be remembered for lots of laughs and lots of action. I appreciate the show for never being afraid to be totally nerdy and very intelligent. As we say farewell we will never forget Derek Storm and Nikki Heat. Castle your final pages have been written, thank you for the stories.

Music Monday – Van Halen – Jump

This peppy song from Van Halen should get your Monday going. “Jump” is an iconic song from the 1980’s that showcases Eddie Van Halen’s guitar and keyboard play.

This picture from Janet Faulk on Facebook has been making its way around and its very true. You have a choice to bicker in small groups or become a winner through teamwork to find ways to win. When given a choice, be a winner.

Sunday Out

Sunday is done. The work week is ahead. Let me dream good things. Love to all.

A Ramble About Having Enough

having-enough-3Wants and needs are two different things when it comes to people. There is a list of things we desire but there are also the items that matter, sustain life and keep us going. So many are chasing the brass ring and accumulating wealth and material goods they give up a piece of their hearts and souls to get their hearts desire. If you think about it we have enough to have a good life.

Perhaps we should be grateful to just have enough to keep food on the table, roof over head, etc. It’s OK not to have the latest and greatest stuff. Recently I was reminded of how many people are in need of quality health care so they can live and exist. Homes are getting bigger for some while others can barely afford rent. There is connection between heart and treasure. Many people live a simple life where they make sacrifices for others and their families.

Greed is not Holy. I am grateful for what God has given and perhaps he has a better idea of what I need than I do. Instead of keeping up with the Joneses, I need to keep up with how others are doing in this world. So it’s a simple plan to have just enough to get by with just a little help from the Heavens and the Earth. Be grateful for the basics, they are often enough.
