Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

A Slice Of Goth Lasagne

I never thought that cake was another form of lasagne. Chocolate cake is very in the spirit of goth culture, making this goth lasagne or something like that.

Quote Of The Day

The wrestling community is a constant; its members are diverse, we are physically located on all corners of the planet, yet we are constantly connected.

It’s Gonna Be…You Know

It’s May all month. Let’s hope for a good month ahead, good people.

Thank you NSYNC and Justin Timberlake for this eternal meme.

Quote Of The Day

The amazing thing about love and attention and encouragement and grace and success and joy is that these things are infinite. We get a new supply every single morning, and so we can give it away all day. We never, ever have to monitor the supply of others or grab or hoard.

Burgess Battery Company, I Had No Idea This Was A Thing

The Burgess Battery Company (Burgess) was founded by Dr. Charles F. Burgess in Madison, Wisconsin, and incorporated on March 1, 1917. The United States entered World War I a month later on April 6. During the war, Burgess collaborated with the US Army Signal Corps to develop quality batteries for radio communication equipment.

I had no idea this company existed until I saw an ad for it on a fellow member of the larger Burgess family’s Facebook page. It’s cool that this existed. I know my dad would have found this to be really cool. I know I do. The company no longer exists but their legacy lives on.
