Spring 2024 Has Sprung!

Spring 2024 arrives officially as of March 19, 2024, at 11:06 pm Eastern Daylight Time. However, in some places, the temperatures are still very chilly. Don’t think winter’s weather can’t make a comeback because it can. Let’s hope that Groundhog was right. Happy Spring good people, enjoy the season.

Finding A New Daily Radio Station

I might have mentioned that my favorite local radio station has gone off the air because they were sold recently. This saddens me because this station is one I have listened to daily for years and we grew to like the morning and afternoon personalities that got us to work and home each day. Its format was the hits of the 70s through the 90s so that was the perfect mix.

So this leaves us with a dilemma to find another daily radio station to listen to. This morning we heard some hits from the 2000s including Taylor Swift, and other current chart toppers. I do like some of the artists that are creating the soundtrack for this generation but it is going to be hard to replace that station called Big FM 106.9.

We will find a new station with some of the best of the old with some of the new. Music can help set the tone of the day. Like anything you have to give it a chance and some time. I can say I was raised in part on local radio.

Taking A Cross Country Journey

Daily writing prompt
You’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, car, or bike?

I would think that going by train or bus would be a great way to see the country. You can’t see much from the sky. I have done cross country in a minivan when I was a teenager when my family went to California and then on a separate vacation, we went up north to New York City. I am not a good long-distance driver so I would not want to take a car. Also, there would be a lot to look at.

Some St. Patrick’s Day Humor

This comes from The Facebook and its dad joke funny. We all need a little humor to end the weekend.

Some Sunday Irony

This morning we were going to church and the radio station we listened to started playing AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell”. Talk about irony. It was no big deal though.

Our favorite radio station was off the air because it was sold and will be changing formats from the hits of the 70s to the 90s to something religious which seems to be further irony.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

To all celebrating may you have a day to remember a great Saint and have some fun in the process. St. Patrick’s Breastplate is an iconic prayer said to commemorate the day. May the luck of the Irish be with you all.
