Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Thanks new followers

To all who are following me here I appreciate it. Followers make this much more fun. Keep on blogging my friends.

Hello Fellow Bloggers

I am conducting some testing of WordPress and I want to know what you think about its social networking qualities and if you can establish connections with fellow bloggers. Currently I blog on Tumblr but I want to see what is different and similar. Your input is welcome.

Bridges of Understanding

I am a believer in meeting someone half way when they seek to build a bridge of understanding. Yes everyone carries a level of guarded optimism in the  process but others carry some hurt and pain. Spreading goodwill among men and peace on Earth are things that should be universally embraced. Religion as imperfect as it is has been there to help people from all walks of life in all sorts of ways. As a believer I want to share my faith in a way that is informative and non-threatening. Faith is not a bad thing, it really isn’t. A lack of faith is not a character flaw, its a conscious choice. I hope I have made sense here.

Servanthood

Being a servant is a way to get far in life. Of course you don’t want to be a door mat but it also means cooperating and being willing to do things that might help one grow. One of the most powerful ways you can impact someone is to help them in times of need and be willing to help make the world a better place. Being a servant is a great way to improve your life and those around you.
