Thought Of The Day – Republicans, They Can’t Lead

Right now Republicans are incompetent and incapable of leadership as long as they bow down to Donald Trump and his base. They are not serious people who want to do what is best for the country. It’s frustrating to know that they are making America a horrible place to be in.

Both Democrats and Republicans have a responsibility to do government and governing. They almost put the United States in peril because they couldn’t pass a spending bill due to infighting. Putting people before a political party is vital.

Law and order should mean something here. Accountability is something Republicans used to believe in. Honoring the military with more than just lip service is important.

I do miss the Republicans of my childhood. Where did they go? I don’t mind some fiscal conservatism as long as it’s not harmful to those on the fringes.

Once again I’m going on record as saying that I hate Donald Trump for what he has done to good people in this country.

It’s Monday Already? Where Did The Weekend Go?

Seriously, where did the weekend go? I know it’s gotta be Monday but wow, it was just no time ago when I was cooking breakfast on Saturday morning. Time moves too fast. Have the best day possible good people.

Hello October 2023

A Pro Wrestling Commentary

I don’t know everything about professional wrestling. I do know I love the sport and want it to flourish everywhere. Sure I am a little tribal and I prefer the upstart All Elite Wrestling (AEW) to the crusty veteran WWE.

We all have our preferences. I have decided to post about wrestling from a positive, constructive position. Because it’s helpful and provides some balance I hope. Pro wrestling is about life because it’s about hopes and dreams. Good and bad. Dark and light. Sacrifice and pain.

When you look at the sport as a whole it’s doing better now than it was 4 years ago before the arrival of AEW. I look at pro wrestler Matt Cardona who was let go from WWE and has found his niche in the independent scene and he is wildly successful.

The word Independent should not be seen as a pejorative but as a word of opportunity to make a living going to places where there is a true adventure for the wrestler. Wrestling is not just WWE or AEW.

Wrestling has its share of cynics, critics, and the like but it doesn’t have to. At the end of the day, it’s men and women who just want to chase a dream, and if they are a little lucky they can lift a pretty gold belt that says they are a champion.

Support wrestling on every level. The future of the sport depends on it. Also just enjoy it and don’t sweat the details too much.

PS: I won’t discuss if pro wrestling is fake or not here. I don’t want that negativity thank you.

Human Colors, Human Rights

I love this. No matter our skin color we should all have equal rights. There is no logical or moral reason that this shouldn’t happen.

Thought Of The Day – Government Shutdown

At midnight tonight in the United States, the government will shut down. That means government workers will go without a paycheck until Congress can devise a plan to keep things running again. People who hate government like to be in government, which doesn’t make sense.

There is plenty of blame to go around however, that is not something I want to get into here. I just want to say that the government does many things from defense to road construction and more. People need to get paid for their work so they can pay their mortgage/rent, food, medicine, and other expenses. That should be the focus right now.

Let’s hope that whatever the shutdown looks like it won’t last for too long. People should matter more here and then take care of the things that make life a little easier when we all pitch in to make it happen.
