Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

A Couple Sunday Thoughts

I am grateful to be in church on Sunday’s but I also know that the church has not always been kind to people of color and others on the fringes.

With that being said

I do believe there needs to be a wall between church and state. The nation’s founders (Washington, Jefferson, and Franklin et. al) were on to something from the start.

Remembering Stuff

Inspiration comes from many sources and when you are paying attention that stuff sticks with you. Then there are times when it doesn’t and then you find yourself troubled because you know what was said was good stuff. Especially at church when you know the sermon will be good and you don’t remember what your priest said that afternoon. I need to slow down and let things marinate in my mind and let it stay around awhile. Remembering stuff is good. I need to do that more often.

Spinning The Vinyl – Peter Frampton

Spinning some Peter Frampton from the iconic “Frampton Comes Alive” this Saturday afternoon. The record is a gift from my Mrs.

Having Me Pinned

This is my pin collection featuring different parts of my personality and interests. I have church, school and special interest pins I have gathered from over the years. My Mrs. got me this cool box with a glass lid to keep these treasures together.

Welcome Spring 2021

My friends the seasons have changed. Winter has gone and Spring has come. I for one won’t mind some seasonal appropriate weather. Enjoy it my friends in the Northern Hemisphere.
