Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Father and Mother Relations

I know not everyone had a good relationship with their father and or mother. Believe me I have seen how some of my friends have suffered because of it. Estrangement is no fun. My life has been blessed with a great dad who has been my rock for so many years. I hope those who have had family issues have found someone to be a surrogate or have adopted someone as their dad and or mom. Father and mother relations can be a very tough thing for those who have been hurt. Grace and peace to you all.

Status Update

Spending most of this Saturday with my dad. I’m happy to be with him today.

Blogging About Real Life

The best blogging is about the real-time stories that happen in your life. Reality provides loads of things to post about.

For me lately its about my father who is sick and under hospice care. This situation he is in was something no one expected, anticipated or was ready for. We don’t know how much time is left but we will spend quality time with him and caring for my mom too.

I feel like sharing my story of the love I have for him and the real-life suffering we are going through is important in that it might help you or someone you know. My dad is a wonderful man who I love deeply.

I welcome all who are joining me on this journey. Thank you for your concern and know that you my fellow bloggers are great!

Too Loud

Some things are too damn loud even when the volume is turned down. It rattles the ears and invades the senses. You have to change the channel or turn everything off for some peace and quiet. The world of everything is like this these days. Where’s my remote control or my smartphone?

Friday Lunch From A Food Truck

Pulled pork and macaroni and cheese from Home Away From Home Folks food truck. A nice lunch for a Friday.

Thank You!

Thank you all for your concern about my dad and my family. I don’t want your kindness to be unnoticed. We never anticipated or expected anything like this. Your support and love is appreciated deeply.
