#Skyscraper – A Great Family Thriller

img_20180721_125034

I saw Dwayne Johnson’s new movie “Skyscraper” today and was throughly entertained. He is the great action hero for the days we live in. This movie shows off his range of being tender, passionate, fierce and strong. He is out to rescue his family from a 200 story high rise in Hong Kong (that’s all I will reveal about the movie so no more spoilers).

This is a nod to movies of its genre such as “Die Hard” and “The Towering Inferno” among others. The movie has strong females too including Neve Campbell who plays his wife, she is formidable as well. Set in one of the great places in asia you get sucked into a whole new world and culture which makes it all the more interesting. I recommend you see this on the big screen its worth your money and a little over an hour and a half.

America, At It’s Finest In Space #NASA

America was at its finest when we aimed for the stars in a previous generation. We were inspired to use our brains to achieve a goal of going to the Moon. Rockets were used for peaceful purposes of exploration. Science and a little bit of faith got us past Earth’s atmosphere into a whole new world where we would sail upon celestial seas.

I Rebounded So I Could Donate Today!

Today my iron rebounded so I could donate blood at work. Yea! I was going to wait until Monday but on a whim I decided to give it a go today. Amazing what 24 hours will do.

Flashback Friday #FBF At The University of Alabama in Huntsville

Me and the mascot of The University of Alabama in Huntsville “Charger”. He resembles the mascot of my alma mater Middle Tennessee State University “Lightning” which is cool.

Man On The Moon Forty-Nine Years Ago #NASA #Moon #Apollo11

Apollo Eleven landed on The Moon forty-nine years ago. Three brave Astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins were the first crew to go there. It was one of the greatest achievements in the history of the world. All of this was done in a tough time for America as well.

Technology then wasn’t as good as it is now but a lot of smart, driven people came together to make it happen. It has been awhile since we have been there, maybe another visit would be good.
