Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

To The Moon Says President Kennedy #NASA

John F. Kennedy’s charge to America was to go to the moon. It gave this nation something to strive for and to work towards. He made the resources available for hundreds of highly skilled engineers, designers, technicians, doctors and so many more to reach the moon in July of 1969. It’s amazing what they accomplished back then with the technology of the era. Unfortunately Kennedy would not live to see it come to reality but his dream opened a whole new universe.

Rocket Power

It’s awe inspiring to see the rocket engineering that has happened in this city. It took lots of brain power and luck to make space flight happen. This is humanity and America at it’s greatest when people come together to solve problems and come up with solutions to get us from planet Earth to space and beyond. The Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama was on the forefront of taking us to the stars.
