Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Upgraded Festival Eats

The delicious chicken fried rice dish I had at Chattanooga’s Riverbend Festival. Typically you think of corndogs or burgers at a festival but if you look closely you can find something different that is unexpected.

Me and My Fathers Gary, Leon and Jay

These are the men who I am blessed to call my fathers. My dad and two grandfathers. Without them I would not be the person I am. I love you Gary, Leon and Jay.

(Please do not reblog. Thank you.)

To all the dad’s out there I wish you a Happy Father’s Day. Fatherhood takes on different things to different people. Some dads are adoptive, spiritual, situational. There are many dad’s who are also doubling the responsibility of motherhood too. To all those filling the role of father, have a great day!

Word Of The Day – Daily Prompt: Flourish

We are all looking for that place and space to find success. There is an old saying that you can bloom where you are planted however there are times when a change of location can make all the difference. To Flourish takes skill, talent and a little luck. Being affirmed in your life and work can go a long way into helping you flourish in all the ways of your life. Finding an opportunity to succeed can give your life added meaning and can give you purpose. Flourish where you can and do your best at whatever your life’s calling is.

FLOURISH

Thought Of The Day

I think there is beauty in broken things like people and statues and that sort of thing.
