Spring has sprung sort of here. The temps to start the day were in the 40’s and haven’t warmed up much. We haven’t had much of a winter to speak of. There was only a small snow event in January and it’s been fairly mild. A new season has begun and the year is going by. Let’s have some spring to our steps.
We saw part one of Allegiant the final chapter of the Divergent series and it’s a good flick. Sometimes splitting up a finale can help with story telling and in this case two parts will mean there is not as much of a rush to get to the end. Shailene Woodley and Theo James shine in their performances and Jeff Daniels makes a great performance as the new bad guy. I like where the story is good because it’s a cautionary tale of the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t. There is also the notion that perfect people in a perfect society don’t always work out.

My alma mater Middle Tennessee State University beat Michigan State in the first round of the NCAA Basketball Tournament known as March Madness. The Spartans of MSU were seeded higher and come from a bigger athletic conference. They have more resources and still MTSU a school from Murfreesboro, Tennessee beats a team with deep pedigree. Way to go Blue Raiders!
Part of the mission/purpose of my blog is to chronicle and curate the stuff that has influenced and shaped who I am. The music posts are videos you don’t see very often from groups you might have not heard of before. My dad along with the radio and MTV/CMT influenced my taste in music. My regular routine includes Music Monday, Tunes Tuesday along with Throwback Thursday and Flashback Friday and soon Sounds of Saturday/Sunday.
