It is perfectly acceptable to air guitar, air drum and air keyboard when doing a Zumba routine set to a song of a band you really like. For Music Monday I present to you Canada’s own Rush performing “Tom Sawyer”

A new month has dawned and its all about the love. Let’s see what happens in the story that is February 2016. Make it great everyone, or something like that.

My friends it’s Monday which means the weekend has come and gone. Now we are back at doing our regular stuff, whatever that means in your world. I am taking a hard-earned vacation day on Friday for a “mental health day” which I need to recharge the batteries. Let’s see how today goes and hope that it means good things for the rest of the week. Grace and peace good people.
Today is the last day of the month and as we look back we realize how crummy most of it was. We lost some valued cultural icons who influenced us all. In America the presidential election started picking up steam and we are dealing with the ego maniac known as Donald Trump. The weather in many parts of the country was cold, damp and snowy. Many people are unfortunately losing their jobs due to layoffs and other situations. Terror is still a part of our lives. For many they are just trying to get by.
All of this seems like bad news and to be honest it is. I am thankful that time does march on and we all have hope for a better tomorrow. Let’s make it happen. Tomorrow is just another day and it is also another month. I hope it will be better for everyone, no matter where we are or what we are doing.
Grace and peace to you all. God bless each of you. Hang in there, we got this.
I am loving this snack my wife made. It’s easy and delicious, also addictive. Good stuff.
My variation on an old recipe (Hot Buttered Cheerios). This adds a little more flavor and some protein.
Melt butter or margarine in large bowl or roasting pan in 300 degree oven (omit this step if using oil). Add Worcestershire and seasonings and stir until blended. Pour in peanuts and stir until coated very well. Add cereal and stir until all pieces are coated evenly. Bake 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. This mix will not need spreading and cooling like party mix, since the Cheerios do a good job of soaking up the liquid and drying quickly.
