Getting unfortunate news would send me into a tailspin in the past. Now I feel I am just numb. Having lost important people in my life I find myself just used to it. I must say no one is immune to loss, you just have to cope and do your best to hold on.
Life is always full of surprises. Today was one of those days. We were reunited with a couple of friends from our past who happened to make their way to church this morning. It was a good surprise. There were lots of new things happening with them which is what life is about. I am hoping that they enjoyed themselves and that we will see them again soon. They will need spiritual and friendship support I think as they go through the road ahead.
I absolutely loved “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” It was something so unique for being action-packed, funny, and very superhuman. “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” is an even better movie that levels up the action and is much darker than the first movie featuring Miles Morales as the hero. I can say that this movie tells a story of growing up and being the person you are meant to be no matter what dimension you live in.
It appears that Marvel and Sony are going all in on this because this is the first of a two-part saga. After seeing these two movies I can say that animation is the best way to tell the story of Spider-Man with all due respect to the live-action actors who have portrayed the role. It’s a movie you want to see on the big screen. There were times I wish I could pause the movie because there was so much going on.
It does help to see the first movie before going to see the second. I was highly impressed and will be seeing it again when it comes to home video. Well done Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, and the team.
