Daily Prompt: Hospitality

I am reminded of so many stories in life where amazing things are done when people are welcomed. Hospitality means a lot and it can change the world. Making people feel at home and comforted can go a long way in building relationships and promoting peace. In scripture Jesus welcomed many and was welcomed into homes to share a meal and his ideas. In so many religions hospitality is an important part of what they are about. Today hospitality is an industry with hotels, motels and people renting out a room so someone has a roof over their head for a night or more. It’s good to be hospitable but it goes both ways. Never wear out your welcome and do your part to make others feel affirmed and secure. Always make room at the inn and at the table.

Quote Of The Day

“Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what it is still possible for you to do.”

Pope John XXIII

Hello Monday, You Got This!

bf75501fc1ca8a2ada402aa8a61f7993_-monday-murdered-sunday-work-on-monday-memes_361-450It might be Monday but I am taking a much deserved 3-day weekend. Some would call it a mental-health day and I would be inclined to agree with that. Being dedicated to ones work means not missing much for anything except for being sick and personal emergencies I am there every day. So far today I have made breakfast, taken a morning nap, downed 2 cups of coffee not including a bottled iced coffee I had with breakfast and a few other things. Today is about me and doing what I want to do which includes blogging.

I hope you all are making the best of the day. Hang in there. You got this!

To My Mother, Happy Mother’s Day

To mothers in the United States and around the world you have my respect and admiration. This is a time to recognize those who play the role of mother in various forms. Mothers are biological, adoptive, spiritual, surrogate and so much more. For some, this is a difficult time because of the nature of their relationships with their own mothers so I hope they have found someone to fill in. Grace and peace and love to you all.
