I was born in 1969, and here are a few important things that happened that year.
The first lunar landing happened in July. Woodstock rocked the souls of those who were there for music and peace. Surprisingly the Internet was invented that year. The Stonewall riots for gay rights took place. President Richard Nixon announced the withdrawal of troops from Vietnam. Also, a loaf of bread cost 21 cents.
Today might be Friday the 13th but I’m lucky to donate blood to help others. Saving lives during the holiday season. Giving blood is giving life at Blood Assurance.
I came into some All Elite Wrestling trading cards today courtesy of my pro wrestling friend Ian Calderwood. Thank you so much Ian, I will enjoy them. It’s amazing how AEW has changed over the years.
My priest, Fr. Drew Bunting of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church came in to donate blood today at the downtown location of Blood Assurance. I appreciate him helping today. He is doing the Lord’s work of healing others with his donation. Thank you Drew!
Everyone is opinionated about something or another. We all have thoughts about things that make sense to each of us. Sometimes I wonder if my opinions are too out there for some to take. As I have said before I am a little divergent in my thought processes. Having a unique perspective means going it alone sometimes. Everyone has the right to think how they like. Being free to think and feel is an important freedom to have in our society. That freedom does come with responsibilities though.
