One year ago my grandfather passed away. He was a great man of faith who taught me to have a tender heart among other things. I miss him along with my grandmother who left us several years before. My grandfather was an early part of local television, he ran a printing business and I worked for him when I was a teenager. He was also a girl dad to three girls. Granddad, I know you are enjoying life with the saints of our family and friends who have gone to heaven before. I am proud to bear your name and I love you.
I love cooking breakfast on Saturday mornings. My specialties include pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos, omelets, scrambled eggs, and that sort of thing. This morning I made scratch-made pancakes. I also enjoy making basic Italian food like spaghetti. On weekdays I do spam with mac and cheese in about 10 minutes. It’s good to have things you can do in the kitchen so you don’t have to eat out so often.
Lots of people are going through losses of family, pets, and other stuff. All I can say is that God will be with you, us, and everyone through all of it. If you aren’t Godly inclined then may you have comfort and solace in the arms of family and/or friends. Don’t worry about being tough, feel the feelings and allow yourself to be human. Peace be with you all.
I’ve known these two men for over 30 years. We were students at Hiwassee College in the early 1990s. Will said farewell to his father-in-law today and Rev. Joey officiated the funeral. Laura and I were there to offer support. Joey and Will are a special part of my life. I’m grateful for their friendship all these years. It was good to see you guys again.
I found this challenge on Threads. So I am bringing it here. This is me in three fictional characters.
The irony is that these are all three Canadian characters played by three Canadian actors: Oliver Shaw of Rookie Blue, Brent Leroy of Corner Gas, and George Crabtree of Murdoch Mysteries.
