Today Is Black Friday, A Big Shopping Day

Today is Black Friday, which is one of the busiest shopping days of the year. It has been traditionally a fight to the death for the best deals and bargains. There is fun to see what people have been able to get at the stores. With Amazon, Walmart, Target, and the like, Black Friday seems to have lost a little of its popularity.

But there is nothing like getting out and fighting crowds for some instant gratification. For some, it’s the thrill of the chase to get what they want. I hope the odds were ever in your favor if you went out this morning.

It’s Friday, Let’s Sparkle

Hello once again, Friday. My friends, may your Friday sparkle and shine and all that jazz. Let’s also have a great weekend ahead. Love and peace to us all.

Something About Burnout

I am burned out. I have been for a long time. Likewise, I imagine many of us are burned out on life. Here is a great graphic The Soup Diva shared on Facebook. This illustrates burnout in a very comprehensive way.

Something About Being Weird

Just in case you didn’t realize, I am a weirdo. Yep, 100%. Maybe each of us is weird in our own way. One thing about being weird is the things in life that makes one happy. Sometimes being weird means that finding people who share in your weirdness isn’t easy. I don’t think being weird is a choice, it’s how you are wired, it is core to who you are.

My friends, embrace what makes you different. It’s OK to march to the beat of a different drummer. I have found that weird things, media, people, and other stuff helps me cope with this world we live in.

I think more places need weird, quirky, unconventional, artistic people to make it better. Not being tied to the way others think is freedom. It’s about being authentic and not hiding things in a bushel.

To my fellow weirdos, I am with you. We are kin. We are community.

Thought Of The Day 10272025

I wish more billionaires were advocating for the little guy, than trying to cozy up to the corruption of power in high offices. The world could be a better place. But money makes the world go round, and many suffer as the rich get richer and the poor fall further behind.

Thought Of The Day 10242025

Patriotism is NOT about the biggest flags and waving them in a parade. It’s about being sure your friends and neighbors are taken care of. It’s about not doing harm to those who already are on the fringes of life. Furthermore, it’s about respecting people for who they are and who they want to be.

Being a patriot means being friends with countries around the world and respecting their sovereignty. It means elevating all citizens to a place where they feel secure, safe, and truly free. Life, liberty, happiness are universal concepts that are at the heart of what patriotism should aspire to be, anything less is just putting on a performance.
