Today I was looking at my blog and I discovered I haven’t written a long-form post in awhile. Usually, my posts are short and concise because I am not a prolific writer. Sure there is plenty to discuss in the world but maybe there is too much to chose from. It’s my goal to chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things going on in my head.
Sometimes that means a picture, a video, a quote, or other sorts of media that can get my point of view across. Paying attention to stuff can be the best inspiration for my blog posts and I do hope they are interesting or at least tolerable to the reader. I do try to be aware of the fluid attention span of those who visit.
I enjoy stringing words together to form sentences like the next person but sometimes it can be tedious to write for writing’s sake. I do have a post about talking rattling around in my head and the irony there is that I am going to write about it. Let’s see how that goes.
This post is not even as long as some I come across so you can see what I am talking about here.
All any of us can do is to keep on blogging, keep on writing, keep on posting. As in life, we have to keep on keeping on.
To all those connecting here I appreciate your time to visit this small part of the blogosphere. You are always welcome here and I hope I am welcome on your screens of all sizes. Let us all keep on blogging good people.
Sometimes you have a great idea to post about and when you go to write it out the idea is just gone, vanished into the weird network of ones brain. I tend to blog from the heart and soul but the brain is a vitally important part of the whole thing. Maybe I will remember that opus I was going to post about sometime. Perhaps it will change the world for the better. Perhaps it will inspire someone. Perhaps.
Friends, I am going to try to lighten up the content you see here. We all can use some levity. However, the world is a place of suffering and pain that cannot be ignored no matter how hard we try. So in my future posts, I will try to have a balance of the sacred, the serious to the silly, and stuff on the fringes. Also, a video or two to keep things interesting.
I realize it’s my blog and I can post what I want, but I want to have a place that is fun as it is pointed, relevant, and reacting to current events. That is why I am posting vintage toys and continuing to complain about Monday’s and the state of the world. Thanks for hanging with me all these years and for connecting here. Feel free to respectfully comment.
I encourage everyone to have a balance and to keep on blogging. The blogging community needs your voice. Let’s have some fun. Peace and love to you all.
It’s Thanksgiving day here in America. A day set aside for us to give thanks for what we have. It’s a very different Thanksgiving in the world of COVID-19 we live in. There are many reasons to have a grateful heart among the tragedy and turmoil. Be mindful of those we have lost in these months and those who are working and serving on a day where being with loved ones is the rule of the holiday.
My hope is that you are gathered in small groups around a table enjoying a meal that will bring you together or virtually connecting on Zoom or an old fashioned phone call.
To all around the world may you have a spirit of thanks on this day. Grace and peace and love to all.
