New Phone, Who Dis? #TeamPixel 5a With 5G

We have been Team Pixel for years. I have owned the Google Pixel 1, 2, 3a and now the 5a with 5G. I think these are terrific phones that won’t break your bank. Even the Pixel 6 is priced well for both versions.

Android is a great phone OS with a lot of features including a rock-solid camera and the ability to use all of the Google products such as Drive and Photos at your fingertips. I am impressed with the 5a so far and look forward to capturing and sharing my world and sharing it with you with this new phone.

If you haven’t heard of Google Fi which is their mobile phone service, check it out, The pricing and features are really good.

The Great Social Outage of October 2021

On October 4th there was a six-hour outage of Facebook and Instagram. Those six hours might as well have been 6 days because it cost them huge financial losses. It was a great day for Twitter with all the extra visitors they were getting.

Facebook and Instagram have become necessary evils for connection, communication, community, and commerce. I ask the question are there viable alternatives out there that people could migrate to? I haven’t found one that does all the things Facebook does which is to their credit in how they keep people engaged and using their platforms.

I do know people who have given it all up and are fine. They have no regrets and no fear of missing out. More power to them.

For six hours many people had to find other things to do. I think some of them enjoyed being liberated. Everyone, including me needs that sort of break from being on the ‘Book or the ‘Gram for a while.

Quote Of The Day

Do not be too quick to condemn the man who no longer believes in God: for it is perhaps your own coldness and avarice and mediocrity and materialism and selfishness that have chilled his faith.
