In August, we went to Montana to visit family who live on the Flathead Reservation of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. The Pend d’Oreilles also call this land their home. It heightened my awareness of the Native American culture and contributions to the nation. November is Native American Heritage Month. It is a right and just thing to recognize this special time of recognizing and celebrating the ancient and proud peoples that called this land home well before Europeans. They have sacrificed much past and present, and their history is an important part of world history.

Thought Of The Day 10302025
Everything is a mess and I am feeling it. The world was in a much better place this time last year. I hate where things are going at the moment. Holding on doesn’t seem to be working or something like that.
New Phone, Who Dis? – The Google Pixel 9a
It’s a new phone day for me. We have been loyal Google Pixel users since the original model. This is the 9a that is replacing my 7a. My wife has the 8a, and we have had other models over the years. We usually upgrade every couple of years because we have Google Fi as our phone provider. We like all the good stuff these phones have to offer, such as its camera and call quality. The Pixel integrates with the Google ecosystem seamlessly. I suppose my next phone will be the 11a, and that should be in 2027. Along with the phone comes a new holster case for it.
Me, A Grown Up?
I am fifty-six years old, and some days I feel every year of it. My personality is like that of a big kid in many ways. However, life has called upon me to have situational maturity in times when needed.
I think getting married, buying a house, paying bills, going to the doctor are times when you have to put on your big boy pants on. Also, being burned out of your home and helping walk a parent through their death is super important.
So to answer the question, there have been many times along with that first time which I can’t pinpoint as to being a grown up. Being grown up can suck, I must say.
