Wordless Wednesday

So a local celebrity came to church today. David Carroll is a local news anchor for WRCB-TV3 (NBC) here in Chattanooga. He’s a wonderful storyteller and historian. David is a great asset to our community. It was good to meet him in person after being connected via social feeds and the like.

This picture is from the eighth floor of Erlanger Hospital where I had a doctor’s appointment this morning. There is some smoke in the distance that is from the western wildfires that has been carried by the jet stream.

Every year on June 14th countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day. The event, established in 2004, serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products, and to thank blood donors for their voluntary, life-saving gifts of blood.
If you can donate blood it’s a great way to be a true hero where you live. Thank you!

I gave at the office for the first time in awhile. It feels good to help save 3 lives with each donation of blood. Donate wherever you are because it’s needed.
