All you have to do is ask. There is an invitation to each of us for communion, companionship and community. Having an open door and an open mind allows new things into ones life. Everyone has an invitation to experience life in a new way if they just say yes. Too many times we say no to things that might change us for the better. There are opportunities in abundance to help others and you don’t need an invite for that, just keep your eyes and heart open and you will find your way. Life is a party and we should all have an invite to it.

Throwback Thursday #TBT – Squeeze – Tempted
This is the song I was referring to in my Daily Prompt post. Its a distinctly 1980’s song with a timeless feel. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the original video which I remember from back in the day.
Daily Prompt: Tempted
Being tempted is a very human thing. Life is a buffet of choices that provides plenty of temptations whether it be another cookie or a really fancy gadget or buying a car you really can’t afford. Everyone is tempted by something or another. There is a song that has a line “tempted by the fruit of another” and that sort of temptation is what gets people in trouble and can wreck lives. Sometimes we lead each other into temptation because we want what the other guy has so that means keeping up with the Joneses and we all know how that turns out. Resisting being tempted is easier said than done.
Daily Prompt: Crossing
Crossing in simple terms means going from one spot to another. Going from one side of a street to another sometimes requires help of a crossing guard who can stop traffic and to keep you safe. It’s a place that where you can transition safely. People every day are crossing from life to the afterlife. In many places its where rail and roads cross over one another. Without crossing we would just be left in the same place.
Daily Prompt: Interior
We live in a world that focuses on the exterior. It’s about how something looks on the ousidee that we ignore what is on the interior. What makes something special is found deeper than the skin, its the heart and soul. Perhaps if we focus more on someones interior their exterior would be even more lovely. No matter how we dress up and make up the outside without the things that people can’t see our appearance isn’t quite so special.
Daily Prompt: Renewal
In a few hours the world will renew itself and ring in the new year of 2017. Every year is a new set of opportunities to do things to make our lives and the lives of others better. Perhaps it’s also a time to right some wrongs and do things better or different. Renewal comes in many forms and is very personal. I am hoping for global renewal despite the political forces that are at play. Cleansing, purging, clearing can be a renewal and restoration of space and place. Many need spiritual and emotional renewal in the coming year. No matter what we all need some renewal in mind, body and soul. Think of a new calendar as a clean slate that can give us all a second chance.
