Doctor Who Series 10 Debut Saturday! #doctorwho

It’s new Doctor Who day around the world as the 10th series of the modern era kicks off today on the BBC and BBC America here in the states. Today has been about binge watching last season with Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman (who left to play young Queen Victoria in the ITV series “Victoria”, which is seen in the states on PBS). Pearl Mackie makes her debut as the new companion. This is Capaldi’s last season so we begin to speculate who will replace him. Let’s enjoy his brilliance while we can.

Doctor Who – Returns Saturday, April 15, 2017 #doctorwho

Peter Capaldi returns as the 12th Doctor for his final season. He is joined by a new companion, Bill who is played by Pearl Mackie. Matt Lucas joins in the adventure too. As a Whovian I am excited to see the upcoming season. We will see some classic villains returning too. It will be interesting to see how everything plays out and who will succeed Capaldi.

Peter Capaldi is a terrific actor and a great “Doctor”. He will be leaving “Doctor Who” at the end of this series/season. Peter made this role his own and it will be interesting to see who will be tapped to replace him in the TARDIS.

Two of the great episodes of the Russell T. Davies era of Doctor Who features the Dalek’s trying to blow up reality. It’s a “kitchen sink” episode where you have a lot coming at you. These episodes feature some great characters such as Captain Jack Harkness, Donna Noble, Dr. Martha Jones, Mickey Smith, Jackie Tyler, Rose Tyler and the great Sarah Jane Smith. These are the two episodes that begins the end of David Tennant’s tenure as “The Doctor”
