Today is a high holy day for Star Wars fans as it is May 4, 2020. My friends, may The fourth and Force be with you all today.
Okay, let’s see what the hype is about. It’s a different sort of story with familiar elements. Disney Plus is also pretty cool.
In honor of Star Wars Day, May 4th. In memory of Peter Mayhew who played Chewbacca.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is in my mind a good origin story for Han Solo. With all these movies they establish the back story for the things that happened in the Star Wars movies Episodes 1-8/9. The casting is superb with Alden Ehrenreich as a younger Han and we get to meet Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian played by Donald Glover. Also featured are new characters played by Emilia Clarke, Paul Bettany and Tandie Newton.
There is plenty of action and story to keep you entertained and connected to the greater Star Wars universe. I recommend that any open minded Star Wars fan check it out.
Stay afraid, but do it anyway. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow…Carrie Fisher
Star Wars Day, May 4, celebrates George Lucas’ Star Wars. It is observed by fans of the media franchise. Observance of the commemorative day spread quickly through media and grassroots celebrations. The date was chosen for the pun on the catchphrase “May the Force be with you” as “May the Fourth be with you”. (From Wikipedia)
In this galaxy on this Earth we need to fight, resist and rebel like they did in a galaxy far, far away. Be inspired by Luke, Leia and Han along with Rey, Fin and Rose to fight for the future.
No spoilers here but the new Star Wars film The Last Jedi is a terrific film that does a good job of advancing the story and introducing new possibilities for the future. This is the last movie with Carrie Fisher in her role as Leia as she passed away late in 2016. I had forgotten how good Mark Hamill was as an actor. Daisy Ridley is a legit talent who is going places. There have been good reviews and bad reviews depending on who you talk to but for me I trust the storytelling here and I really liked the movie. You be the judge.
May The Force Be With You….oh go see this on a big screen, it is the best way to experience any Star Wars movie.
