Wordless Wednesday

Remember you are dust and to dust you shall return. Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the season of Lent in the Christian tradition. It’s a time of fasting, reflection and penitence for believers.

Today is the third Sunday of Advent. Joy is the theme for today’s celebration. The candle is pink which is different from the other three that are purple. We all need more joy in our lives. God be with you all good people. The above picture is the screen we use at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church to produce our live stream of our services on YouTube and the Advent wreath is in the upper left picture.
Today begins the season of Advent which is celebrated by many in the Christian world as the prelude to the season of Christmas. This is an Advent wreath with four Advent candles that are lit on the four Sundays before Christmas and the Christ candle which is lit on Christmas Eve. I pray for a good Advent season to all who celebrate and may this be a time of mindful waiting and reflection.
I am a part-time content creator. I produced the livestream netcast on YouTube this morning at church. Check it out if you like.
