September 11, 2001 – Twenty Years On

Twenty years ago. Wow it’s hard to believe that 9/11 happened twenty years ago. American and world history changed on that day. This was a time that people cannot and shouldn’t forget. Make no mistake it was about terrorism but like anything there is always more to the story.

Heroes rose from all walks of life to rescue and save lives. They also came to find survivors and recover those who were lost in the chaos and destruction. It was about America coming together in community to lift-up one another during the dark days that would follow. A lot of people were there to pick up the pieces and sort through the devastation.

It is my hope that nothing like this will happen again anywhere on Earth. Let there be peace. Let love rule.

Remember New York, Arlington, VA and Shanksville, Pennsylvania on 9/11 and other days too.

Sometimes You Need A Superman

I saw a great biography on Superman today. This character has such an amazing history and backstory. He is a quintessential hero for all ages. The Man of Steel is iconic in every way. So if you need a little fictional hero today you can’t go wrong with Krypton’s finest to come to Smallville.

Crisis On Infinite Earths Coming Sunday To A TV Near You On @TheCW Network #CrisisOnInfiniteEarths

I am a big fan of TheCW Network’s DC superhero shows. Next week t they will have a 5-episode massive crossover event called “Crisis on Infinite Earths” featuring Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Black Lightning, Legends of Tomorrow and the show that started it all on the network Arrow. Joining along will be Superman in two forms and so many more heroes. I am so looking forward to this TV event because crossovers are a great way to have some big-time action and adventure.

We need heroes in reality and fiction to keep us going and to give us a sense of security and safety. Everyone needs rescuing sometimes in their lives and TV shows like this one reminds us of that.
