What are your favorite quotes from this modern holiday classic movie?
I am a dude who loves a good rom-com and “The Holiday” is indeed a holiday favorite. Nancy Meyers gives us a comedy that is romantic, complex and very contemporary. Kate Winslet, Jack Black, Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Rufus Sewell and the late Eli Wallach make this movie something special. When people trade where they live their lives anything can happen.
1. Treat every day like Christmas
2. There’s room for everyone on the nice list.
3. The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.
“Elf” the holiday movie of the evening featuring Will Ferrell as Buddy The Elf and James Caan as his dad Walter Hobbs. This movie has become a must see every season.
Queen Latifah and LL Cool J light up the screen in this movie about a misdiagnosed woman who seeks to live out her “last” days in Europe at a posh hotel, living it up. The supporting cast of Gerard Depardieu, Timothy Hutton, Alicia Witt and Giancarlo Esposito make this movie a great holiday flick.
Will Ferrell is fantastic in this story of a man named Buddy who was raised from infancy in the North Pole by elves who work in Santa’s workshop. He finds his real dad in New York City and adventures ensue with his new found brother. He also finds love with a department store worker named Jovie. Buddy helps restore the Christmas spirit. We love this movie, there is some memorable dialogue that we love to quote all the way through.
