So, I was bored a little today and decided to do our 2025 income taxes. I always dread doing this for various reasons. Good news is that we get a decent refund. Taking care of this yearly event does take a little burden off I must say. Now we wait to get our money with anticipation.

Friday Tax File Night
Filing income taxes is what the cool kids do on a Friday night, right?. It’s what grownups do. I guess I am glad that’s done for the year. This year I did them way early which is not typical for me. Let’s hope I did it right and I don’t get a call from the Internal Revenue Service (the tax man in America).
Tax Deadline Day In The United States
Today is the day when federal income tax returns are due to the government. Normally tax day is the 15th but this year it is on the 18th due to a holiday. We had to pay some this year which is better than in years past when we paid a lot. Instead of e-filing this year I put the return in the mail. Sometimes old school is best. It will be interesting to see how many last minute filers there will be this year. It’s nice to have had a couple extra days to get it done. Two constants in life…death and taxes.
