A Final Holy Gathering

Tonight is the night where Jesus and his crew were in the Upper Room hanging out like brothers do. They were gathering for the last time, having bread and wine and other stuff, probably. Jesus washed feet too in order to take care of those who he loved and sacrificed their lives to follow him. Everything as about to go down and Jesus was there keeping his cool while his heart and mind was racing. I think we can put ourselves there in the room where it happened because every person who has followed Jesus is in an upper room of their own. Jesus is waiting until he is arrested to face his toughest assignment that is to come the very next day.

A Palm Sunday 2025 Reflection

You know, Jesus went into this week knowing what was going to happen. He understood the assignment. I think those around him didn’t fully comprehend what was about to happen at the end of the week. The thing about holy week is to put oneself in the minds of the disciples, who will ask themselves on Friday what in the hell is going on. Some of this is political violence, but most of it is one person being obedient to his death. This is not a week of peace, it’s a week of feeling the chaos that is to come.

A Sunday Reflection

Jesus cared about the poor, the sick, the needy, the downtrodden and the worker. It’s a love thy neighbor sort of thing. I would also think it’s also a matter of happiness too. Any political system that does not emulate that these days is not one worth being a part of.

A Relevant Sunday Message

I found this to be profound and very much in the spirit of who Jesus is and should be in the hearts and minds of those who believe in him. Jesus can be found in many places. If more of his children had this mindset things would be better for many people. May Jesus be with all no matter what.

The Olympics Last Supper Thing

This Last Supper outrage is stupid. First, it’s not the Last Supper, it’s something else. Also, Jesus is more concerned about how his children treat one another and how we care for creation. Get mad about kids going hungry, clean water, violence, and hate. Ultimately it’s just an artist’s imagination that tells the story of Jesus and his bros having dinner for one final time at a table where everyone sitting on just one side. Just saying.

Some Faithful Food For Thought

I found this on the Facebook. I agree with it wholeheartedly. Christian Nationalism is not holy and it’s very narrow. Christ to all nations is in keeping with the teachings of Jesus and affirms the love for all people.
