I support the Jewish people. I love my Jewish friends. Anti-semitism is wrong. It’s the 21st Century. G-d have mercy on us all.
I have made it known I am a supporter of Palestine because I know they are children of God too. With that being said, I have love for Jewish people. I have Jewish friends who are sad about what is going on. Recent acts of antisemitism are only making matters worse. Citizens of both places are caught in the middle of an ancient struggle they did not start but still goes on to this day.
It is my hope that cooler heads will prevail, and that the violence will stop. It is terribly tragic to see what is happening but please find a way forward that does not include anti-Semitic acts that means more bloodshed. Let there be peace that is lasting.
Hanukkah is a Jewish festival commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire. It is also known as the Festival of Lights.
To all my friends celebrating Hanukkah may this be a time of light, love, peace, and grace. Like most holidays it’s going to be different this year but the spirit remains the same.
