Happy Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is an annual celebration held on May 5. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army’s difficult victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza.

It’s also a time for many to celebrate with Mexican food and drink. It seems to be another reason to have a big party. No matter how you celebrate have fun, be safe and remember the reasons for the day.

In more contemporary terms it another reason to celebrate and have a good time. Food, drink and revelry will be the order of the day. Enjoy it my friends. Be safe though.
